Hi, I read about this a while ago & it looks like a really good thing! I moved here from Bristol & fell pregnant just after & I now have two lovely kids but suffered really badly with post natal depression just after I had my 2nd. I've never felt so alone, my mum lives 200 miles away & my in laws were not interested. Most days I just needed to know I hadn't been forgotten. I'm going to have a read of your link & see if I can help in any way. I am doing really well now, have made some really good friends but haven't forgotten what it was like. Thanks for putting things like this on!

I joined this and have offered to be a co coordinator, haven't heard anything of it yet though

They were a bit slow replying to me. If you've heard nothing in a couple of days, just fill the form in again, thats what I did :)

While it looks like a fantastic scheme and I hope it succeeds, my one criticism is the availability of details. I had a look and know I'd be a little worried about my phone number and email address being so readily available - this was without even registering.

I'm not so fussed about my email, I have a spam filter. I'd never put up my phone number though

nah, my phone number is not up there either. To be honest tho, i emailed everyone in the sheffield area on the list, to see what they wanted from the group, if people just wanted to chat to each other by email or phone, or wanted meetings now n again, or whatever and got VERY few replies. Can't see the point in being on the list as a support person if you dont even reply to the emails :huh:

Thats why I wanted to be coordinator, so I could keep the people interested and get them to actually use the site for what it was created for

Thats what i tried to do, but like i said, not many replied. I'll try again in a week or so, otherwise i cant see the point in the site, if people put their details on but do nothing :(

I looked into the area coordinator thing too, and got an email back from TAB asking me to fill in my details, etc. Thing is, it said that part of the 'job' was arranging meets sometimes and that sort of thing, but I have only lived here since Easter and dont know my way around yet, so I didnt email back.
Its a fantastic thing though, I suffered PND with 2 of my 3 kids, and its horrible. Although I have to say that I think this group is for everyone, not just for sufferers of PND...its to support mums of all ages with kids of all ages, and its brilliant!
