needing a new pair of trainers around the 50 or 60 quid range whats the best place to go to ?

What kind of trainers are we talking about?

Sports brands such as Nike?

Skate shoes such as DC, Osiris, Vans?

Training shoes?

You cant go far wrong in Soccer Sports at Meadowhell....

They have a vast range and you can get varied makes from Nike to KSwiss and they range from £20 to £100 and some.

JD Sports or Ath leisure in Meadowhall are best for fashionable trainers. Thats where i get mine from.

Not really they both sell a load of tripe.

I need some sports trainers and am finding it really hard! Most shops are just selling fashion trainers that aren't supportive enough. And I don't wanna pay in excess of £60 for a pair. Any ideas?

umm its wynsors and i work there part time.. yea its mainly discontinued stuff or tacky mystery brand trainers. I wouldnt really recommend it to anyone unless you are short on cash or not planning on making them to last too long. dont get me wrong u can get some nice stuff from there with a little luck. I'd rather check around mhall im sure u'd find a pair there.

I had exactly the same problem.

Try Decathlon store in Town they have a superb range of proper sports trainers.

Particularly good for running shoes.

Not all expensive either.

Or the new one, thats upstairs, near Crombie (and Debenhams) which has some very nice stuff.

There is a Footlocker in meadowhall too.

Well I went to Decathlon for some trainers and came out with none, but got a tent instead!

I agree with the earlier posters about JJB and Sports Soccer, both on The Moor.

JJB is cheap, but is closing down (...it may have already done so) and absolutely everything is 50% off.

Sports Soccer is cheap too, but has a much better selection.

And if you don't mind last seasons' trainers, you can pick up a bargain (or several).
