Kristian 30-03-2005, 00:40 I'm guessing your thumb got tired on the "shift" key after the first three words? In reply to your question: No of course not. :loopy: AJ sheffield 30-03-2005, 00:44 Personally I dont mind sharing the toilets with women. In reply to your question: No of course not. :loopy: So in that case it wouldn't be rasist to have seperate black and white toilets? AJ sheffield 30-03-2005, 00:54 Actually Trev it was suggested recently that black boys should have seperate lessons to white boys http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/4323979.stm But the idea was canned http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/4326007.stm Not the same subject but a similar issue nonetheless, one of segregation. 1_HotGal 30-03-2005, 00:56 I try and avoid using public toilets, period. I'd rather wait until I got home, or to my mums, whatever is nearest! But I suppose that would depend on the urgency of the matter....:? Kristian 30-03-2005, 01:01 Originally posted by Trever So in that case it wouldn't be rasist to have seperate black and white toilets? You're just making yourself look stupid now. Troll-baiting me won't work. It's clear to everyone (but you perhaps) why there is a distinct difference between the implications of mixed-gender toilets and mixed-race toilets. K x PS - PLEASE get a spell check on before you reply! AJ sheffield 30-03-2005, 01:02 Lol Hotgal....When I was a kid I was down town with my mate. I was busting for a jimmy but decided to hold it because I didnt want to use the toilet. On the way home the bus got caught up in traffic and the journey took ages :( I was in horrific pain, not the sort of pain women feel but real pain, like a man with a cold. It was almost as painful as treading barefoot on a 3 pin plug. Anyway I jumped off the bus and ran home faster than linford christie only to trip up 10 yards from my house and p**s myself  When I say kid I mean about 21. mojoworking 30-03-2005, 01:02 Originally posted by Trever So in that case it wouldn't be rasist to have seperate black and white toilets? You're having a laugh, aren't you? We have separate male/female public toilets in order to ensure privacy and discretion. Your black/white toilets comparison simply doesn't work and I suspect the suggestion is meant to be inflammatory Trever 30-03-2005, 01:07 Originally posted by AJ sheffield Actually Trev it was suggested recently that black boys should have seperate lessons to white boys http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/4323979.stm But the idea was canned http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/4326007.stm Not the same subject but a similar issue nonetheless, one of segregation. Actually there have been times when I have resorted to using the ladies toilet. Usually when the mens is occupied and I have the terrapins head syndrome. Or as its technically known, ICP. 1_HotGal 30-03-2005, 01:11 At least you didn't do it on the bus, AJ!! I've not had any accidents yet, but as I'm getting a bit older (but not wiser) it might be prudent for one to have a pack of TENA LADY on hand!! AJ sheffield 30-03-2005, 01:14 I have met quite a few tena ladies in my time. Unfortunately only when I have had about a fiver on me. They dont do things by halves ;) 1_HotGal 30-03-2005, 01:18 Originally posted by Trever I have the need to go in the girls toilet to have a sit down "lady wee" Wasn't there something on the news about a headmistress who refused to have 'troughs' in the new toilet blocks at her school so the boys had to do it 'girly style'? Or have I just made that up?? AJ sheffield 30-03-2005, 01:20 I have heard that story HotGal..she pees as they call em :( 1_HotGal 30-03-2005, 01:22 Originally posted by AJ sheffield I have met quite a few tena ladies in my time. Very apt, me thinks !! Think i'm suffering from SAMD syndrome (Swallowed A Medical Dictionary)! PopT 30-03-2005, 02:34 And I always thought they had mens and ladies toilets so the ladies didn't have to keep putting the toilet lids back down! Happy days Hels 30-03-2005, 03:15 When I go to Climax we all share the same toilets, don't see the need for both really foo_fighter 30-03-2005, 07:31 Originally posted by Kristian It's clear to everyone (but you perhaps) why there is a distinct difference between the implications of mixed-gender toilets and mixed-race toilets.! I realise this is in a different context, but there is a point to the argument, men and women can use the same toilets (at least the WC type anyway), and indeed do (do you have a urinal at home?). The reason we have separate (public) toilets is cultural, and needn’t be so. Some cultures do have "common" facilities for both sexes to use, it’s just us that’s not used to it (blame the Victorians). Now onto your racial point (well nearly, since we seem to define Muslim as race in law), in some parts of the world "sitting" on the toilet is a no-no, so a different type of toilet is used (this is common in Japan also) a bit like the old French “hole in the ground” type, and toilet paper is also not used, but running water, requiring the toilet to have an adjacent supply of water, not all that common in UK toilets I think you'll agree. So, in summary, yes, different sexes can use the same toilet, but some races (or at least religious/cultural/racial groups) do require different toilets, but don't get what they need at the moment. So Trever was right in a way, even though that’s probably not what he meant. There, that was a nice short answer for you wasn't it. :) AJ sheffield 30-03-2005, 08:15 Originally posted by Hels When I go to Climax we all share the same toilets, don't see the need for both really Strange...when I go to climax its usually in my bedroom, although I did once climax in the toilets but that was a/ at work b/ for revenge c/ a completely different story altogether hazel 30-03-2005, 08:35 I was once on a ferry going to France and having left home early had not put in my contact lenses. So I took my glasses off and headed fo the ladies to put them in. On not knowibg my left from my right in common with lots of orther intelligent people and being blind without my glasses I took a wrong turnig and went into the gents by mistake and as ladies always go to the toilet in twos my friend followed me. We set up home at the sinks chatting about the colour of her hair and did I like her new makeup ,as women do. Not being able to see much I was vaguely aware of men doing something in the"sinks" behind me and moved my bag to let a man wash his hands. Still chatting I wondered why he was smiling and the world seemed a happy place when a uniformed officer arrived to answer the complaint that 2 women were in the gents toilet. With my lenses in place I looked around and saw the waist high urnials for the first time collected my dignity and left Hazel. owdlad 30-03-2005, 08:45 Originally posted by hazel I was once on a ferry going to France and having left home early had not put in my contact lenses. Carmine 30-03-2005, 09:58 Originally posted by SilentStatic If we had to share the same facilities then guys would have to queue to use the toilet :o Ever seen the queues that build up outside women's toilets? Once I saw a bold woman stride into the men's and be followed by many of her emancipated and bursting sisters...next thing there was a queue of women outside both toilets! Who's dirtier in the toilet stakes? I went to the Big Day Out festival a few years back at the Milton Keynes Bowl and the men's toilet was a large portacabin that stood four feet off the ground on metal supports. After 12+ hours of drunken blokes missing the target, the floor literally fell out of the whole thing. I think that the women in attendance that day were glad they had separate facilities!
