You are having a laugh aren`t you?!
Its either been a very very long time since you have set foot in that hell hole
or you have just taken over tenancy and want to drum up custom
or are just taking the p*ss.
In the off chance its the first one thanks but I dont think I will bother

Yes thats the man.He always thought he was a bit of a ladies man especially with the barmaids, told us no end of stories of how he used to "pull" a different barmaid in the Shiregreen every weekend. He especially liked blondes apparently.

Hello.

There is a lovely new pub called Meadow farm in Chapeltown/Ecclesfield. Its where Shardlows sports centre used to be. Near the strawberry fields that are opposite Ecclesfield school. The food there is lovely and could easily accommodate a 20 plus party. If there are kids with you, there is huge play area and if you haven't, there is also a child free area.

Also, the Norfolk arms in chapeltown does lovely home cooked food. Its on White lane. You will need to book for here though.

Hope this helps.

Zip.

I've been to the Meadow Farm Inn; food very good and reasonably priced, but a bit too much like a Brewsters for my liking! If you're taking kids though, I'd highly recommend it!

Inquired about having a meal there a few weeks back, and was told we couldn't reserve a table for a party of 8.

Went in on spec' anyway (just 6 of us though), sat down with our drinks, reading the menu, barmaid tells us to move because they'd reserved the table for somebody else.

Assistant manager was dead stroppy when we asked why somebody else could reserve a table but we couldn't.

Needless to say, we didn't stay, and haven't been back since.

Have written to the manager, but got no reply.

So, overall, I'd say I'm not too impressed with the place myself.

My best friend is the landlady of a club called the Thorncliffe Arms at Chapletown its on Warren lane. I have only been in a few times but its a nice place and serves food. Also you dont have to book and i know its fairly quiet on Sunday night as we normally go out. If you'd like i could have a word with her? Is it some sort of party?

knew Alan from working on sites in early 90's. Always had a lot to say for himself. He used to work with a bloke called Rodger. Alan used to get a lot of ribbing especialy from Muzz and a young lad called John who fancied himself a bit, but was ok when you got to know him. Where did your partner work?

Haven't seen Muzz in ages, is he still as loud?
Not John B but John W.
Do know John B but he must have changed a lot cos I would never have described him as little!!
Ask John if he remembers Kev B the electrician

If you make yourself a member, and 4 others in your party at Napoleons at Owlerton some time this evening you would be able to book a table for tomorrow night, in fact they would let you have a table without booking it on a Sunday. The only snag is you need membership which takes 24 hours and each member can sign in up to 4 guests, thats why you'd have to call in tonight early doors, it opens at 6.00pm. They run a 4-course menu on a Sunday evening for about £12.
All that being said everyone has to be over 18 years old.

 We went today for lunch to sample their ALL DAY Buy-1-get-1-free carveries as advertised on a board outside...

Doors firmly locked at 12 midday. No sign of life!

0/10! We had to go over to Sir Jack's at Bramley for their 2-4-1 lunch menu.

Shan't be going to the Fairways again.

Time wasters.
