Arrrrrgggh!! Just sent my boss an email confirming my back to work date etc. Tues 3rd June -only a month away. My little boy will be 6 months old. Got to go back cos there's no way we can afford a second month with me getting SMP!! I'm dreading it, not because i hate my job but because i dont want to miss a second more than i have to of him growing up - does this make sense. I'm going to be working 2 x 12 hour day and every other saturday 9-3. I know im fortunate in the sense that i dont have to go back for 5 days. My mum will have Joe in June when im back then DH will have him July and Aug and then he's going to go to nursery in Sept. Is anyone else feeling like this at the minute??? I've been off since Dec but time's just going by soooo fast!!!

You'll be fine! I too have just returned to work after having my second. I was really dreading it has I hated going back after my first she too was 6 months old and my family looked ater her. This time I have had a year off and I truly regret it! my little girl is so clingy compared to my first and Im finding it really hard to deal with. I work 2 days of my choice and I am really really enjoying it. My brain is more or less working again, dont know what you lot feel like with the 'baby brain' Id forget my head if it wernt on my shoulders:hihi:
Even though you see friends all you talk about is babies!!!even though you try not to so its nice to not have to talk about them or think about them too much cause you'll be too busy!!

I found it really hard as well, but it gets easier. And yes, there is the bonus of having some time to be someone other than Mummy and having to exercise your brain.

Unfortunately I have to do 4 days a week to keep our heads above water, which is really hard. Three days would be better. Still, had a mini epiphany at a party last night - realised we haven't really thought through the whole 2 child scenario, extra nursery costs, etc...life could get interesting next year! Lol.
