I got a Tiny pc from a friend and it runs fine but on checking out the specs I was surprised to find that allthough the processor is an Intel Celeron 2.6 :-
Primary Memory Cache = 8kb, 2ndary memory cache = 128kb and bus clock is 100M/hertz. Up front memory is 2 sticks of 256MB of pc266.
I am not an expert but I thought that Primary+ 2ndary caches would have been more and bus clock higher? Also is the memory right for this pc please.
In case it is relevant the model is P4M266-823X.
I know that Tiny no longer exist but this pc is only about 3 yrs old and worth keeping as a second pc.

I'm no expert on processors but one of the main differences between a 'proper' Pentium and it's Celeron equivalent is the amount of cache memory - the Celeron having much less.

I'd go looking at over clocking sites to see what you can do about altering clock speeds etc.

To be honest though, at that age, if it works just leave it alone. Maybe adding more RAM would give it a boost.

Try the memory tool on www.crucial.com/uk and that should advise what memory options you have available.
