My daughter has an interview at Parson Cross College, Remington Road Entrance tomorrow. We live at Hillsborough and wondered of anyone knows which bus we can get to go there? I'm not too familiar with the area so any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry i'm not much help but as far as I know the bus service from Hillsborough - Parson x has been cancelled...it used to be the 31/32 as far as I know....

Normally if you lived anywhere else in the country I would suggest the bus companies website but first's is pretty crap....

hi there.. it use to be the 97 befor it changed route,,but i belive the 53 goes along wordsworth avenue and the stop you need is affter the wordsworth taven pub ... that if that bus route not been changed to so best off ringing 01709 515151 they be able to tell you the proper bus.

I dunno...?

All I know is that I avoid going that way if at all possible....lol

Erm, is Parsons X college the new one up by longley park..? if so there are actually a few buses that go that way..

I thought the 53 used to go up that way.

the 87 from hillsborough also goes to Parson X college

I used to catch the 86 all the way there, which i think does go through hillsbrough but the route may have changed. Can i also mention that i went there for my access course and the level and standard of teaching was absolutely excellent!

Yes I find it a shame alsoit has a great gym which I used to use all the time.

At which point there will be no buses to it. However according to a recent Newspaper the new Hillsborough College is "in the heart of the community". I'm buggered if I know which community they are referring to.

you can catch the 87 to the parson cross college from Hillbrough

53 is the best bet - get off at Tavern - walk 200 yards to entrance of college..

When the college goes to its new home in September the 53 goes near enough to the dog track, you can catch it from wordsworth ave or fletchers, whichever is convient for you.

This info from everyone has been useful to me, I work in parson cross and need to provide info for a brochure for local transport links and even with local peoples knowledge of bus routes this has proven difficult due to all the changes in bus routes
Driving around in a car makes you realise that public transport how ever good or bad it is don't make much of a difference, I'm not at work tomorrow kirsten or would have gladly offered you a lift there

i get the 87, just ask driver where to get off. cant miss it, then jus cross road and your there :thumbsup:
