Hi techy types
I have just been working (playing) on doing myself a website on the freewebs site, basically just filling in the blanks on a template.
My problem is, when a user types the address to search for it, it often isn't found. If I type it into the Google box, it generally finds it. Type it into the aol box and it doesn't. The link I've done works ok.
Please, what do I need to do?

maybe not your fault , could be some sort of filter within AOL.
This is because your website isn't yet 'picked' up in the search engines or your page-rank in the search engines isn't high enough. Usually takes about 2 or more weeks to be indexed by them. Just keep adding content to your website and try and get relevant websites to link to you and it should help :D

Thanks for the replies:thumbsup:
This is why people should NOT use AOhell, their software is crap and doesn't work.

Haha I didn't know AOL still existed!
Do they still force you to use their awful proprietary browser?
and also, I'd recommend learning some basic html, (www.w3c.org is a good place to start)
write your own, and go for hosting like www.nearlyfreespeech.net and get a .co.uk domain from www.ukreg.com or www.123reg.com for £6 for two years.
much more professional looking then ;)
