I am looking for a decent freeserver that will allow me to use Frontpage to upload rather than using a really basic template and just filling the gaps basically...
Also it would be ideal to have a www.---------.co.uk / .com if possible to but then again I always have wanted to much for nothing...lol...although I don't think the latter is possible without paying..?
Cheers guys n gals

there are no decent free hosts to my knowledge, they all suck and all have annoying ads or pop-ups... its not like small hosting packages are even expensive anymore... you can probably get one for £40 including a domain for the year :)
Hiya,
You'll end up paying somewhere along the way for a .co.uk or .com.
Try and avoid using Frontpage if you can because it really does produce code that is non-standard and difficult to maintain in future.
I'd actually work out what you want to use the site for first, then determine whether a 'free' server is what you want. If you want to do anything like take payments, run a guest book, have a 'contact us' page that is reasonably secure then you're going to want server side scripting and to be honest that usually needs paying for, although there are a few people who will do it for free.

Yeah, to be honest I don't want it for business purposes or anything security wise...just general information etc etc.
Pop-ups etc don't really bother me either, I have a site already but it's as I described above...the first site (1) is a template site and I have just got really bored of it so gave up weeks ago and the 2nd although on the same domain I have done myself but all with my own HTML and as you may well be aware doing the whole page using HTML can be a wee bit frustrating....
Cheers guys

Hi there, we host a few customers who use FrontPage,
would really recommend a proper FTP package though. The one built into Dreamweaver is quite good.
Have a look at www.glasstop.net
any questions let me know.

Hi, I use www.netweaver.co.uk.
£45 per year will get you some space on a windows server with frontpage extenstions. I've never used frontpage but i've had little trouble with these guys especially for the price. The supports ok and other than a hacker the only downtime i've seen has been planned like server upgrades which they kindly inform you about before they do it.
I think domain registration is in with the £45 but you'd have to check, i've had my domain about 8 years so i don't know.
