Evening all

Just to let you know, that a charity football match has been arranged, between members of the Royal Mail HR team in Sheffield & Chesterfield.

Unfortunately, a friend and colleague of ours at Royal Mail passed away earlier this year, aged only 31 - therefore the game, The Paul Dungworth Cup, will aim to raise funds for both Ashgate Hospice & the cystic fibrosis unit @ the Northern General Hospital - the latter of which Paul suffered from.

The game is to be played at Sheffield FC's ground on Sunday May 4th, in Dronfield - we have raffles, signed Premiership & Football league shirts up for sale, signed by both players & celebs, various prizes, penalty shoot outs at half time, catering around the ground, plus more, so along with a celebratory atmosphere, we aim to make Paul proud.

Tickets are priced at only £3 for adults, £1 for kids, with under 5's free - to make this a worthwhile event for both Paul & our beneficiaries, would love to see you there...

Thanks.

Sounds both enjoyable and worthwhile.

There's also the added attraction of the Coach & Horses pub next door to the ground, which serves beer from Thornbridge Brewery. Stagecoach bus 43 stops right outside...

Best wishes for the game and so sorry for the loss of your colleague.

Certainly a worthwhile cause and with the bad press than football sometimes receives here (usually blades v owls derby games) it goes to show that football can be a uniting, positive force, not just divisive and negative.

Can't make it sunday though I have enjoyed a few visits to the "stadium of bright" but I'm happy to make a donation to the hospice and will do it online right now.
