I hate how the default of folders containing images reverts to Filmstrip. I never use Filmstrip and wish I could get rid of it, or at least disable it. It adds the file thumbs, which makes it even more annoying. Any ideas please? I hope if it can be done it's not too obvious; I've been cursing this for ages.

1. Open Windows Explorer or Control Panel.
2. In Windows Explorer, click on Tools in menu bar, then select Folder Options in the pull down menu. In Control Panel, simply open Folder Options icon.
3. Go to the View tab.
4. Enable (tick) the Do not cache thumbnails option under Advanced Settings.
5. Click OK.
