Hiyah, Just wanted to let forumers know that if you're planning a break in Robin Hood's Bay, I can recommend a fabulous guesthouse in Fylingthorpe (1 mile from RHB). It's welcoming, clean & £30 per person, per night. Here's the link, if you're looking for somewhere to stay http://www.robin-hoods-bay.co.uk/3thorpegreen.htm

I've never stayed in Robin Hoods bay itself. We often go sailing up and down the coast and due to the bottom of the bay at Robin Hoods (it's pure rock) we can't drop anchor and stay there! It's a beautiful little place, but we always end up in Scarboro' Harbour, or anchored in Runswick Bay, which I think is one of the most beautiful places on this earth on an evening with a BBQ going on the beach, and then heading back the yacht for a beer and bed watching the sun go down... Bring on the good weather so I can get back out on the sea!
We camp at Hook house farm in Robin hoods bay.
It overlooks the bay, has showers and toilets.
Unfortunatly last year, we had to get towed off the site due to all the rain making it muddy.
There is a decent bus service into Whitby as well, we go for the Whitby folk festival.
There are a few cottages to rent in RHB, but I can't find a web site for them, I think you have to contact the owners directly.
