The Bomb Squad, Police and Ambulances have been flying up and down West Street all morning today.

Sirens blazing and the works.

Is this a drill or is something going on?

Do you think it's related to those 'controlled explosions' we've been hearing? Incidentally, which club is it you work at?

Various clubs. I work for an agency!

And with regards to the controlled explosions. I don't they are related.

The explosions seem to be coming from just outside the city centre, whereas this was definately IN the centre. Just curious.

I was at the bus stop near the peace gardens at about 1215 today and heard a proper dock off bang, sounded as if it was coming from very close by - it made everyone at the bus stop jump thats for sure... Dunno what it was but it was the loudest of the bangs I've heard over the past few weeks.

Odd, I saw one of her Maj's bomb disposal vans driving into Sheff the other week. Should we all be digging bunkers and stocking up on potato sacks???

Inconspicuous as well ... what was it now ... big white van with 'HM Forces Bomb Disposal Unit' (or similar) splashed on the side. Inspires confidence and a feeling of well being. I'm quite happy to not know SOME things.

So does anyone know ... what IS going on?
