I fully understand why some threads are merged when they overlap discussion.

However, for this particular topic to be merged so that it ended up in the 'pre-election politics' area of the forum is not helpful to those of us who have an interest in this particular topic but not 'pre-election politics.

I have tried to find the thread, but it does not seem to be there, either.
