For around 3 months now the mental health action group has been in the process of moving premises and the place is now officially open. We are based on the second floor of the Castle Market which is easily accessed by the lifts. We are open Monday to Saturday from 10 until 6pm. Activities include art, photography, pool, table tennis and we have free tea and coffe. We offer support to people who have had mental health problems, we try and help our members get dissability lving allowance. Well if you know anyone who coudl benefit from such a place the telephones number is 0114 2737666 or if you ahve any good fundraising ideas let us know as we are only a small charity. Membership rules are as follows:
1. If you have a mobillity bus pass with a sheffield postcode you are automatically entitled to be a member.
2. A doctor can give you a note saying that you have or have had problems with mental health.
3. We allow people three visits after which time they must produce valid eveidence for being a member.

Disabled access should be easier now with everything being on one level but ring up and we will arrrange to meet you outside if you so wish. Well if you need any more info don't hesitate to get in touch

hi yeah we are a bit short on ground for volunteers at the moment, its mainly admin work though and getting involved with the members on a talking level I mean. As a rule you are better off ringing up in the daytime and asking for Arnold or Derek who'll be able to arrange an interview for you if your intrested in being a volunteer
