Strange, I thought that 37" was a dodgy measurement for a TV, then within 3 days 2 friends buy them & someone asks. Why 37"???

My friends both bought from ebuyer, look here (http://www.ebuyer.com/search/?intStoreID=73&intCatID=133&intSubcatUID=2354) at around £500, there's an LG & a Samsung, both for £499.**, one friend bought either one, I've seen them both running Assassin's Creed on PS3 over the weekend & wow! Compared to the cheapo 40"+ one someone else I know has they're both superb for the money.

This site below has a list of TV's which is listed in descending order (% off)

Alternatively pop into Richer Sounds, their prices are good & I'm sure you can test them too?

Definitely a Samsung - try avforums.com and try the LCD forum. They have a list of best buys in drop down boxes at the top of the screen.

Well I've narrowed my choice down to a Panasonic TX37LZD70, FULL HD,, 1080p with Freeview. Price at the mo. an incredible £699.95 on pricerunner.co.uk

got a samsung and can't fault it.

having said that the pixels do get a little confused when there is a scene with fast moving images in the foreground e.g. characters in a blizzard the snow falling between the lens and the character can get a bit blocky (not sure how else to describe it) but having watched this tv since the begining of the year these scenes have been few and far between.

I would say take along a dvd which you are familiar with and watch some scenes in store. happy shopping!

Panasonic is excellent, review by HCC said the only thing that let it down was the black levels as they're not as good as Panasonics plasmas but otherwise an excellent set :)
