Does anyone have any pictures or photos of these areas before WW2 ? I need them for research into my family tree.I want to copy them and will return them undamaged.I will cover any postage costs.

I suppose you've had a look at the picturesheffield site. If there's nothing on there then have a look on the English Heritage site using viewfinder. I know there is a picture of Brightmore St on that site.

Brightmore St used to run parrell with Sarah St and the houses were just about identical. Although the Brightmore St picture is dated 1956 it could just as easily have been taken in 1856 - nothing ever changed around that area until the whole lot was demolished.
