Hi there, dunno if this has been covered before, but can anyone recommend a good estate agent or letting agency? I'm considering letting out my property for the short term but don't want the hassle of doing it myself. Any recommendations please? xxx

Hi,
I work for Martin & Co, we are based in Hillsborough and have a shortage of quality houses in Sheffield available due to high demand. We have people looking in S10/S6/S11/S35/S36/S20/S12.
We dont charge you a penny until we find you a tenant, and also will work with any other agent in Sheffield, so at worst it will cost nothing to give us a try.
Please don't hesitate to contact me should you wish to have any further information.
Best regards,
Aaron

It's also worth noting that there is stacks of property to let in the S10 area. We have a property next door that has been empty for a year. If you go for Martin&co they may not charge you anything but every month they don't get it let, you lose any income.
So at worst you could end up with no income and a letting agent asking for a fee if you take it off their books. Make sure that if you sign up for any agency, you get it in writing that there will be no fees if they are unable to find you a suitable tenant by a certain date. That way you are covered.

Hi,
nickyboyzuk, I understand what you are saying, but it isn't a way to make any quick cash, I will happily put it in writing we won't charge a penny, we will go multi agency and work with as many agents as the landlord wishes, as well as this we are more then happy for the landlord to advertise the property privately on here, gumtree or wherever else, if they or the other agents let it before us we won't charge a single penny no matter what! This would give the landlord every opportunity to find a tenant.
I can't speak for the board that is next to your house, all I can say is that it isn't one of our's and would be horrified and certainly wouldn't be on here speaking to the public if it was.
I hope this goes some way to explaining how we work. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,

Sounds ok to me Aaron.
To be honest I don't mind the property being empty. With the property on the other side of the property being on market for the last 8 months I have not immediate neighbours at all. Very peaceful for me and I can play Trumpet to my hearts content.
There is a positive to an economic downturn after all.

Property Partners are supposed to be good
Yeah, as Bestlad has said, they are supposed to be a good agent.
A friend of mine has rented through them recently and had nothing but praise for them and their services.
