Going there tonight for the first time. Heard a few conflicting theories over what sort of music they'll be playing tonight. Anyone know for certain?

If the nights called Transmission, they'll possibly play stuff like Joy Division

I would say to look at the website - but it is singularly useless at telling you what they will play!

I know Moomin, I had a look at that and just got even more confused! I've heard conflicting ideas saying it's indie and then again saying it's dance. Harrumph. I'm hoping for classic alt. *fingers crossed*

Urban Pebbles: that was my theory too, dark classic stuff. That's pretty much the only lead I've got to go on!

Well I went last night, and must say both the venue and the music was great! (And it wasn't a sausage-fest or full of golden oldies either *cough*Leadmill*cough*)

Hi just wondered if anyone had been to Transmission at Carling Academy? The queues were massive yesterday to get in so must be a good night!

Please let us know about the place!
I never been that, but been in London at the Carling Academy (in Brixton) at 2 shows of the Beastie boys last September, I LOVED that place (even though it's in Brixton;))

Sadly the old Roxy bears little resemblance to Brixton Academy!
