Hi I'm a newbie to this forum and figured this would be a good place to start.
Later this year, in a couple of months or so I will be moving to Sheffield. We are relocating from Thailand, where we have been for the last 3yrs, so we are a little out of touch with things in the UK a currently, though I did hear something about a new prime minister :hihi:. I've never lived anywhere north of Bath before, although all of my extended family live in Leeds, Grimsby and over the side in Fleetwood.
My girlfriend used to study here, and her brother lives here as a teacher. We are expecting our 1st child in November and I will be starting a course at Hallam uni in May next year.
I've read through the southern shandy drinking thread, and it is useful, though I have some questions of my own, plus I thought this might be a good place to say hello.
Basically my new course will be a nursing diploma, I have to act grown up now and think of things like the future.
So if anyone has any info about suitable places for a young family to live near Hallam uni, with good transport links, my girl cannot drive. Not student digs, I've been there, done that.
Also any information about jobs in the nursing sector would be welcome. The jobs forum will be my next stop here...
