Rich 25-04-2008, 11:04 Meh, hypocrisy by the BBC, they wouldn't pay for Neighbours, which has an established fanbase and ratings, but they paid whatever for Out of the Blue, which seems to be some kind of Home and Away clone, set in a Seaside community. I'll watch the first week, and see what it's like but I'm not holding my breath for a Neighbours beater. splodgeyAl 25-04-2008, 11:40 holding my breath for a Neighbours beater. that's one of my fantasies, rich! how did you know? :hihi: alchresearch 25-04-2008, 16:06 And even before that, The Electic Light Orchestra used it as a title for one of their albums. I'll watch the first week, and see what it's like but I'm not holding my breath for a Neighbours beater. I don't see the hypocrisy. RTL wanted too much for Neighbours, RTL owns channel 5, Auntie won't stump up the (ridiculous) sum, channel 5 gets neighbours. They have a timeslot to fill, so they need another Eldorado! |
