On a combined wage like that you wont get a penny. You in theory have more spare cash than most families. So just get on with it and stop moaning. Between 3 the bills should be easiliy managable. Maybe you should try cutting down on the amount of energy you are using theripsaw 25-04-2008, 09:10 I get about £900 wages per month - my rent share is £200, then c tax and bills, and commuting towork costs mean I amleft with about £50 a week for everything else Thats life for most nowadays! lyndsayx 25-04-2008, 09:34 hmmm, me and my OH earn a LOT less and we both work full time. if you have £50 a week spare after everythings paid what's the problem, that's more than we have. stressed_mum 25-04-2008, 17:08 You've more chance of platting pee than being accepted for housing/council tax benefit, our total household income is £17k (+tax tredits of about £5k) & they laughed at US (& there are 2 adults & 1 severely disabled child), not wishing to cause offence but ANYONE thinking that they may be entitled to housing benefit on a combined household income of £56k needs their bumps feeling & to come back to earth with a bump!!!! Housing benefits are for Low income households, Yours Most certainly isn't - (sorry ) just out of interest where DO you work that it is costing you so much to commute to (based on average bills I estmate that it is costing you roughly £340 per month to get there?!?!?!!?).   Does anyone not agree with that calculation?? |
