Hi everyone,

I hope people don't mind me trying to get abit of free publicity (administrator - sorry if this is'nt allowed!). I have designed a meeting site which I was originally going to sell but having seen the popularity of the Faceparty thread i'm trying now to get it up and running....

Go to http://connect4fun.org

This is a brand new site which anyone can sign up for, however I am only marketing it to people in yorkshire & this forum seems the ideal place to start.

Its free to sign up & post pictures, also the first 500 people to sign up also receive a free upgrade. This is basically instant messaging (abit like msn) and chatrooms as well as the facility to block people you dont and other advantages. There's also a feature to rate people (abit like hot or not).

Thanks for reading and if you have a spare couple of mins then please sign up.

Cheers!

Wot a rubbish site. I tried to sign up and it just said 'undefined-must contain a number'

Site looks nice ... but very un user friendly and a pain.

I won't be going back.

This is on the sign up form ... after I filled in all the field ... no indication of the bad field ...

Maybe u should rename ... 'connect4painintheass' ??????????

Jamie - Did you fill in all the fields marked by an *? I'll have a play around to fix it. Its in its beta testing stage at the moment! Cheers for your input though.

If minimum age is 21 then I wont get no kiddy fiddlers signing up to perv on 16 yr olds! I think it might yet still be sold on ebay....

Yep ... filled in all the fields with appropriate data.

I'm using firefox 1.0 ... maybe that didn't help?

Good luck sorting it out ... it's pretty frustrating when you fill out a form like that and the system doesn't accept it.

Sorry if I was harsh.

it'll probably be something really small and stupid like what was stopping Internet Explorer from displaying my site properly whereas it was fine in Firefox :?

I tried to sign up, had the same problem as others using firefox, and using Internet Explorer I also had problems, after filling in the required fields I would tick accept to the T&C then click register, but it would return me to a page with all the details in the address bar and no user account created.

Also on the fields they are mandatory there wasn’t a choice to leave blank, weight and music etc.

I've managed to fix the problem signing up, it was because it could'nt add an invalid age to the database from when i changed it!

I cant really be bothered with all the marketing lark, i've got 25 other sites which need looking at... It does have potential though, and for someone who is interested in taking time to market it could be a second income.

I've put the whole thing up for sale, if interested can see it here:
