This is mainly to see the results of the poll. I've heard many people say I won't be renewing mine, but it shall be very interesting to actually see a graph of the actual figures of Wednesday fans on here.

This would also be useful if we have a good response to forward to the club so they can see the voice of the fans, though if they'll actually take any notice is debateable.

I shall be buying a season ticket though this mainly as this will eb the last season I can purchase an under 21 ticket. I know at least 5 season ticket holders who will not be renewing, 2 of these say they won't go to Hillsborough while Kaven Walker is Chief Executive.

Yes fair enough the club needs to advertise the prices now, see how many they sell so Brian Laws knows what he has to spend to bolster the squad. Though as others have said surely the club can offer a better incentive than 5% discount in the club shop. Basically this is saying you spend £500 on a season ticket and because we think your so loyal we'll give you a replica shirt for £38 instead of £40. It's hardly a reward for the loyalty us Wednesday fans have shown over the last 10 years.

This especially when you consider us Wednesday fans could be paying these prices to watch League 1 football, I sincerely hope that is not the case.

If you need a reminder of the prices for next season here is the link to the Wednesday website: http://www.swfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/TicketPrices/0,,10304,00.html

Yes, I know I made a spelling mistake on the poll, apologies.

Cheers Gritter,

We already know United wouldn't buy a Wednesday season ticket. Can we please try and keep this post fairly serious as it is a matter many people feel strongly about and I and I'm sure many people would liek to see the poll reflect a true feeling of Sheffield Wednesday supporters. Not United fans coming on and chooosing the I don't have a season ticket and don't intend on purchasing one option.

You United fans have it really lucky we need to somebody at our club who realises you get fans in and you'll have them for life. Sheffield Wednesday over the last 5 years in my opinion have lost a generation of fans. I'm 20 and when I was at school there were far more young Wednesday fans in the city than United fans this has changed significantly. The Sheffield United board are being extremely wise the buy an adult season ticket and get an under 12 one free is very intelligent marketing. This under 12's won't just go this season, once kids get the football bug they have it for life and that team they first go to watch will always be their team.

I have voted not to renew as 2 of my fishing league mates are not renewing the 2 adult and 3 kid's tickets they have now.
I dont know if this counts Reg.

probably not, unless we have some new hope, something like new owners perhaps, but who knows what's going to happen regarding that

The jury is out with me.

I've had a season ticket for approx 20 years. But after 10 years of continuous crap on the pitch (mostly spent in relegation battles), and a board that continue to come out with the same old patronising rubbish ('we've now put in place a new X year plan to see us in Europe' etc. etc.) without actually doing ANYTHING to support it, I have to admit I'm getting a little tired of it all.

I used to go to the matches on a Saturday looking forward to seeing Wednesday playing good football, and winning. I used to get there all excited in anticipation of goal celebrations and victory. Now I don't/daren't even think about it - I just turn up and hope for the best.

If the prices go up as advertised, then I just see this as being another kick in the teeth for us fans. Us fans must be responsible for most of the income to the club, so collectively we are its biggest customer. How many other business continually dump on their biggest customers?

The overall cost for me to go to the matches next year (taking into account season ticket, travel, programmes, refreshments, merchandise) will be about £1000. That would buy another holiday for me and my family - guaranteed good times (and brownie points too!).

But, I reserve the right to change my mind, and as a true Owl, I'll probably give in and buy one as it's the 'right thing' to do.

You might as well get one, i'm usually fed up by mid June when i'm been dragged round Meadowhall, Yorkshire Sculpter Park, Chatsworth House, walks in the Peaks etc - by then i've usually cracked and got a season ticket (for the Blades).

Are these the same ones who wouldn't go if Allen was chairman?

Seems just an excuse not to buy one in all honesty.

Got to agree with you there Robbie - there do seem to be a lot of 'Owls fans' who have relied on a number of excuses in the past - some legitimate (like they won't go whilst DA was chairman) - that just seem to move on to the next excuse when the time comes.

Glad an Owl can see my point.

I wasn't trying to have a dig by the way, because I know these certain people (Dave Allen etc) are giving the Owls a bad name, and also are treating some people like crap.

But if Kaven steps down, and these fans don't go back, what will their next excuse be?

So effectively you are glory hunting.

You're basically saying, if the club isn't taken over and money ploughed in like promised, then you won't be renewing.

A club is for life mate.

I love my team, i've been a season ticket holder on & of since 1980's, but i'm embarrased as a fan to have such an inept board & such poor customer relations & PA. It's an embarrasing disgrace.
Who the heck is the PA advisor to SWFC?, how can they advertise the new season tickets to be a higher price, at a time when there's 4 games to go & they need all the positive support they can get & don't even know what league they will be in!
If it was April fools day, i'd still find it hard to believe as a joke!
I don't care wether it's Sotnik or Sheard or father christmas, i just want the idiot that is in charge of the embarrasing disgrace that is SWFC behind the scenes, to just go. Brian Laws is god. We love you man!!!

Why should wednesday fans pay £50 more for a ticket at £604 or what ever it is when the club is run by idiots and havent a clue on how to run it. I think united are doing a great deal where they have frozen season tickets and giving a free one to kids if there parents buy one. So this is a quistion to united fans if it was on other foot would you be happy in being ripped of and your club was being run into the ground and charging daft prices when you dont even know what league your in have no money to buy new players aswell as the club selling your best players and a injury list what makes up a squad on its own?. Plus even if we are in championship next season even the clubs at the top dont even charge stupid prices like wednesday.

yea, of course you support a club for life but i'm sure alot of blades fans would be the same. the fans are always giving but we never get anything in return. i dont blame any fan for not renewing and if i could afford a season ticket i certainly wouldnt get one till i knew what was happening with the takeover. if it does go through they need a clear out of staff from top to bottom

Yep I know Mac, sorry. I apologised for it in my opening post. Though once you make a mistake on a poll I'm not sure how to correct it.

Our chances of paying for a season ticket for a Championship team's season ticket are looking better than when I created this (touch wood). THough even so compared to other teams in the league we must be getting charged the most our in the top few.

Yes, I know I made a spelling mistake on the poll, apologies.

After yesterdays performance I considered purchasing thre for next season, one for myself and two for my boys who are both under 12.

By my calculations (and for comparison purposes) I'll give the prices for renewals which I work out at around £596. Now this is a lot of money especially when you consider the number of night games and all of the problems attached to this with getting kids to school the next day.

Out of curiousity I looked on Uniteds website, their prices for the Kop appear to be £299 for adult, first child free and second for £59, totalling about £360.

Is it just me that believes this is complete madness, how can Wednesday be charging not far off double than what United are for the same division.

Come on Wednesday sort this out, try and match Uniteds prices or just a little bit more.

If this prices came down to about £400 for the three of us, then I would be purchasing, as it is there isn't a cat in hells chance of me buying one.
