I think you're being a little hard on them here.

1) Since when were Paramedics paid via Council Tax...?

2) Parking on double yellow lines and running red lights are the only perks of the job

of course thier entitled to breaks,i object more to the use of parking the ambulance on yellow lines blocking the end of chapel walk just to buy a new top!!!
i have no idea what their sexual preference was ,couldn`t tell from the tops their were buying.

Lestat

You couldn't tell from the clothes they were buying??? can you normally tell? :hihi: :hihi:

ok, lets make this simpler shall we:

1. Were they wearing Doc Martins?
2. Did they have tight blue jeans with plantpots?
3. Any facial piercings? short hair? Anti Nuclear badge?

Did you follow these two ambulance crew back to the vehicle to check the crew and the ambulance were connected? Is it not possible the ambulance was attending a medical emergency with another crew, and it was coincidence you saw these people shopping?

Yes but are you sure it was their ambulance? it could have been the ambulance of another couple of paramedics gone shopping at the precise same time as those paramedics . . . . you have to think about these things!

Maybe the paramedics were on their break, still on call, and thought it would be a good idea to have the ambulance within hiking distance should the balloon go up.

If this is the case, then I for one would be glad they'd chosen this course of action if I was their next emergency.

Give them a break! Paramedics do a fantastic job, are ridiculously underpaid and over worked. They're only human and if they fancy taking advantage of their emergancy vehicle status to do a spot of shopping, I'm not gonna complain.

Oh !! Come on fellows. Never heard of Sherlock Holmes?? There's a few clues here. Right at the beginning, jayjay told you that there was an ambulance with blood on it , parked on double yellows. Right, BLOOD---emergency work!!! Some highly educated, highly paid, official has deemed it necessary to put yellow lines in this location to prevent a hazard to other road users. Now, these medics are sensible , educated persons who have no intention of creating a hazard to others. SO---in these blood laden conditions and considering the intellectuals involved-------IT JUST COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. ----COULD IT ?????

One hopes the last person they were handling wasn't infected with MRSA or worse, covered in excrement / blood :gag: before they started handling sale items in their full uniforms!?

Here, you may vote on my poll

this kind of thing gets on my goat. I used to work in a chippie around the corner from a cop shop and they used to park their cars outside and along all the double yellow lines when they were washing them. Nowhere for customers to park. And if you rung up and complained about police cars being parked on double yellows :loopy:

edited to stop the sarcasm

Why would they want to wash their cars outside a copy shop

likely explanation is that the crew were on stand-by (ambulances positioned by control in specific areas for cover so that they can respond to calls quicker due to their proximity) and they had nipped off to get some snap, maybe calling into said shop on their way past.

They would have had the vehicle mobile with them in case they were needed ASAP and would not have been very long away from vehicle.

Or maybe they were not SYAS at all. Maybe one of the private medical firms with their own ambulances.

Or maybe they were strippers with their novelty vehicle for hen nights. If Firemen can do it.......

Or maybe not. Maybe it was a heist. Like in HEAT where they steal an ambulance for use as a get away car and they were in the shop, emptying the safe, terrifying the staff, causing general hubub and you just walked on by. Shame on you jay jay, for not investigating further!

At the end of the day, who cares where they park. They are there for you. And you and you and bab babaaaaa bab babab babab ba baaaaa.... sorry, thats Jim'll fix it.

good to see council tax working at its best.

If the vehicle was an NHS vehicle it is paid for through general taxation and NI, not council tax

parking on double yellows is cheeky ,but may not be illegal in the case of an emergency vehicle, where obeying the particault piece of traffic law will hinder it's purpse
