Whilst doing a job for someone, I found a glass bottle with Marples of Sheffield, 43 & 45 Silver St. moulded on the bottle.
The only iformation I can find about Marples is that they were a hand tools manufacturer.
Does anyone have any more information as to why a tool manufacturer would have had a glass bottle with their details on made.
The bottle is about the size of a normal glass Coke bottle but larger in diameter and with a threaded neck. It also has a threaded cork/wooden top.
Any info would be great, Thanks.
