Hi
At some point last week the family pc has gone weird in that only the Administrator account can access the internet, all other user accounts can't :help:
Setup is Win XP SP2, AVG, Spybot S&D, wireless NIC, 3com ADSL wireless router.
Various windows auto updates took place last week and I installed WMP v11 but didn't change any network related settings myself, kids also deny meddling ;)
If non-admin user logs on, the icon on the taskbar says its connected to the wireless router but i can't ping it, do any nslookup's or browse web etc, can't even get onto the routers admin page. Its not the BB as other pc's are fine.
If they then switch user, and Administrator logs in it all works straight away ! When the non-admin user logs back in it then works for them too !
Its almost like the Admin account is starting some service or process that isn't being started when non-admin users log in. I've done a system restore to earlier on last week but the problem is still there, as a temporary measure I've changed all the accounts to be members of the Administrators group but ideally don't want to do that for long.
Any ideas ? :confused::)
