Not closed according to AA's website. It's here (http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/travel_news.jsp) for reference!

I just checked. It appears to be open at 22.35 on Thursday. This may be your best chance!!!

they should close the sliproad that joins the M1 northbound permanently then it would cut 20 minutes off my jouney time during rush hour!!

I went both ways on it yesterday and it wasn't closed. A lorry had turned over around 6am and was still blocking the outer lane of the southbound section around 10am. The Police were just starting to stop the traffic whilst the 3 huge recovery trucks went on from the A1 sliproad.

When I returned about 1pm the road was down to 1 lane whilst the carriageway was resurfaced and the Armco replaced.

Can't see why it should be closed now.
