Not sure where to put this so putting under general.

Has anybody any tips on buying tickets for London shows?

I had assumed that the theatre concerned could be contacted directly but the more I google the more ticket agencies I come across.

Requests for the same number on tickets for the same show on the same date, vary enormously (upto £80 in one case).

How can I get the best deal and how do I know if the agency is bona fide and not out to swallow my credit card details and payment? :suspect:

the easiest way would be to go to a reputable ticket agency like ticketmaster online, do not go to the ticket agencies based around the theatres in the west end as they charge extortionate prices to vulnerable tourists. The cheapest way to buy tickets is usually from the theatres direct, and tickets are cheapest if you buy them on the day of the performance - they allocate the last few tickets to people that turn up in person at the theatre, but these seats are usually way up in the gods. Which theatres are the shows on you want tickets for?

We have a deal with a London based agency which enables us to sell on the tickets on their behalf with no extra cost to you.

Drop me a line with the show you want to see and the date you want to see it and I will get a price for you.

Alternatively, if you are unsure which show you wish to see, let me have you e-mail address and I will send a full listing of every London show along with dates, times and indicative prices.

We can also get London Eye tickets and river cruise tickets at excellent rates as well as many other attractions in London.

I look forward to hearing from you.
