shihtzumad 19-04-2008, 15:30 awww congratulations,
I was assiting a birth with my friend, her Lhaso apso give birth to 8 puppies, 2 are really tiny so we are praying they pull through, but mum n babies are fine.
Some babies have been born this week, :)
littlestarshine 19-04-2008, 16:55 She started heavy panting again, got a feeling 2 might not be it after all!
Ooooh- waiting with bated breath!
Another couple of healthy ones please.
Congratulations :)
Can I just mention we constantly get asked about kittens for sale/rehome at the vets and never have info come in on any.
If anyone who has had kittens is going to be looking at finding new homes for them and would like them listing at the vets could you ring us (0114 2683239) so that we have details of them please? :)
Hope mum and babies are doing well! :D

littlestarshine 19-04-2008, 21:39 We still dont have anymore... but she is still panting now and then and her breathing is really heavy, keep taking food up
we have homes for possible 4 kittens but definitely 2 homes,,,
so far so good
shes being a very good mom!
had a feel of her tummy and it still seems a bit hard, its kinda half emptyso i think more maybe coming after all
i have no concerns about her shes handling it pretty well
shes even given me a kitten to hold, the one that was in the drawer lol
i'll keep you all informed
littlestarshine 20-04-2008, 07:20 After a really restless night (on my part) Poppy has still got two babies.
I have named the one found in the drawer Pudding (the tortie) and the one i saw being born Pip ( black with a bad tupee of ginger)
I think I'd get her down to the vets for a check on Monday, just to be sure that there's no more babies stuck in there that could create major health problems if they stay in there (not that it's that likely, but I'd rather be sure).
ladyacademic 21-06-2008, 10:22 Pudding has now been rechristened Moth and came to live with my foster daughter (and all the rest of us) yesterday. The dog keeps trying to lick her (but she's too fast for him) and the other cat, Mab, seems quite unbothered by the new arrival as long as she keeps away from Mab's food. Moth is eating well, using the litter tray and skittering all over the house. And they all lived happily ever after.
Many thanks to Littlestarshine.
