Good luck, there's someone who walks her samoyed in the local park and she's a gorgeous dog :)

I'll let you know if I hear of anything as well but there is a samoyed welfare - have you tried contacting them to see if they have any suitable?

so contact them? Just because they are in Bucks doesn't mean they don't have any suitable dogs in foster care through ought the country

I really want a pup, i have tried rescue centres and alot of them wont let me have one as i have an 8 month old daughter, i think this is silly as im obviusly going to keeo the dog and baby seperate.

Does anyone have a puppy they'd like me to have and love, i dont really want to buy from a breeder after alot of debaiting over whether or not too, id rather rehome a dog that needs a home rather than has been bred to go for alot of money.

Can anyone help me ive decided im not bothered of the breed except a bit wary of bulldogs staffies and rots,

you should not suffer from the misconception that staffies are bad they are they are really the most lovable dogs on the planet. it is the owners who make bad staffies

Just think about their reasons for not rehoming with a child so young.
I have first hand experience.
PUPPIES BITE no two ways about it.

Toddlers and babies are sitting targets for these sharp teeth that they have. puppies don't know any better. you would be better with a nice calm older dog to go with your youngster. beauty is only skin deep so they say.

in fact my friend at newark has today (and this is the honest truth) had an 8 week old patterdale/ terrier handed into her because its biting their 3 yr old daughter.
i wont say a word - because i can't.

As ricky36 says - staffy's are just about the ONLY breed which always state how fantastic they are with kids. so look at the temprament of the actual dog u see in front of you - don't believe the selling techniques of the text books.

Hi Lawson  Rainrescue is talking lots of sense on her post, I just wanted to tell you about a time that I went to see a litter of puppies (I found it quite funny really though I am sure that I shouldn't have done ).
The lady let me into her living room where she had a lovely pleasant smiling baby she was really sweet dressed in a pretty dress and pink tights all smiley and happy  ... then she let in the puppies OMG there were about 6 and the first thing that they did was each have a wee on the carpet, so the lady was going mad cleaning that up and I was helping, then there was this growling noise and as I looked it was the puppies all 6 of them ragging the poor little baby on the floor :o
Well the lady didn't seem to mind this, though I will admit to being somewhat suprised at that reaction, and the poor little pleasant baby was being nipped and dragged all over the place, when it came to the point that her tights were almost dragged off I could bear it no longer and scooped said smiley baby up who by now wasn't all that smiley any more.
Needless to say I was no longer interested in her puppies, they had not really sold themselves to me very well :hihi:
I know what I have told you is really quite light hearted... but it is true, and it does show the reality of a small puppy and baby together,it was an accident waiting to happen.

If lawson is now considering pups of various breeds, not just the samoyed, shouldnt this thread be renamed?

I dont believe there such a bad thing as a bad dog...Only bad owners., some who seem to think that if they own a staffy or rotti...Have some kind of trophy dog.!..and are usually chav'd in a dress sence.!

Staffie's and Rotti's are great dogs>!

im just scared to get an older dog incase it attacks kids or my cat

i have recently made a new addition to our house hold a 3 year old EBT i have a 2 year old daughter and a 7 year old satffy X no she has her issues but i am working with her for them but the thing is she is never alone with my daughter and is always supervised when around her as all dogs should be a dog and a child no matter what age should be left alone together no matter how trained the dog is IMO.

my new girl is not aggressive but can be food aggressive and haas no manners what so ever when it comes to the house hold. but it takes time and hard work same as it does with puppies.
