Hello

I think that the takeover has stalled for two reasons.

1. They'll get the club for nowt if we go down, after administration. Only good thing about that would be Alen and Wednesdayite loosing everything:hihi:

2. The takeover is ready to go but they're holding back because they don't want to cause a stir. Lets be honest 99% of the players will be out if mega bucks arrive. It's too late to get new players in, therefore, the current crop would be actively loking for new clubs and not concentrating on the job in hand.

What you tink?

I think I find it really annoying when people spell 'losing' thus 'loosing'. :hihi:

As for the takeover I couldn't give a flying fornication. :D

I'm with you on this but you get called pedantic if you bring it up.
We even had university graduates talking about machines "loosing" power when I was working. :gag:

There is something happening at Wednesday.

All staff have had some sort of detailed job appraisal.

No new staff are being set on.

Some of the ticket office staff have lost their jobs due to the new ticket office merging with the shop.

The indoor training facility at the training ground has not been repaired since it blew down.

None of the current board are putting up any money because there is a take over in the pipeline.

The share issue is the main stummbling block as this is complex due to Wednesdayite and all of the other small share holders.

If youare taking over an organisation where the turnover is in millions you would want to get maximum return on your investment. Therfore, the more shares you hold the more return you get for your money.

If you are a major investor and you have the potential to invest millioins then you would be verey reluctant to share any profits with people who put in nowt, who sit on their shares and moan or slag off the board.

I think - assuming it hasn't simply collapsed and died a death - option 1 has to be a big factor. I can't imagine anyone agreeing a takeover at a price, when a team is this close to being relegated. If they actually are relegated, the price will plummet; if they don't, the club is still only worth what they were worth when they didn't look like going down. Waiting to see what happens is a no-lose bet.

They're waiting to see. Surely if its all fallen through they have to announce to the stock exchange?

I don't know that for certain but I would have expected so - hence assuming it hasn't collapsed and died a death. No news usually means it's still under Stock Exchange secrecy rules; to that extent, "no news" is a good thing.

All of the above is usually done at a company when they have no money or are in severe financial trouble..You better hope the takeover isn't dead in the water (no pun intended ) or by the looks of it, it sounds like ADMINISTRATION for our little pink chums:o

I agree and administration may be the only way forward in order to get out of the shares mess which Wednesday and the previous chairman (you can have the shares now I want em back) have created.

But this will depend on where they end up next season and how many points will be deducted. Either way it doesn't look good.

wednesdayite won't make any money at all in any sale, as part of being offered the shares in the first place, they agreed any money offered in future would go back into swfc or any community schemes run by swfc.

The takeover could have stalled for any number of reasons.

The buyers may be waiting to see what division Wednesday are in next season, as there is now the very real prospect of being relegated. This could affect the value of the club, or the potential investors may decide they are not interested in owning a League One club.

Or, Wednesday's financial situation is worse than previously thought, and the investors are looking at how they can restructure financing and repayment of debts. Or decide that the debts are too much, and pull out...
