Please make sure that you get some Petscreen for him if you're going to allow him to go outside in the summer. White ears are prone to getting skin cancer if they aren't protected .

Highfields stock it and most other vets either stock it or will order it in for you. It's less than £10 for a whole year's worth of sunscreen and it's clear and non sticky on the fur whilst also being SPF 23.

my gf said he will need that i didnt know they did special pet sun screen though can u buy it online ? our older cat tilly as just been spade and his feeling pretty sorry for herself she hates the collar and cant scratch her head or clean herself so my gf is havin to clean her face after shes eaten which she seems to really like/ aparently she as to have it on for 10 days.

I've got 2 cats with white ears, one of whom is getting precancerous changes to his ears at the moment. Thankfully he's 16 so hopefully the changes won't have time to make any difference to his life. I'd hate to have to put him through having his ears removed at this late age.

Ollie is such a pretty fellow :love:, I need some of that sunscreen for my Oliver too, wonder if it can be bought online.

I know white eared cats really do suffer with their ears, a friend of mine has a white cat with the worst ears imaginable...the best way to describe them is crozzled, all shriveled up and mis shapen now the poor thing and they must really hurt her :sad:, the sun screen seems to be a must.
