Does anyone remember the Byne family from Bellhouse Road?

my grandparents were carrie and jack byne who lived there since the early 1940s till they passed away a few years ago

my dad jon byne was born on bellhouse rd,and his sister ann byne,now gilbert,who still lives nearby at wincobank

There was a Fred Byne who lived on Lilac Road on the Flower Estate ,he had a brother called Philip (they were both good at football) and i think he had a sister called Wendy.
I lost touch in 1969 when we left school, last i heard he was an apprentice at English Steel.

I have worked with Fred for ** years !!!! He seems to have given up the football nowadays though, the zimmer gets in the way :hihi::hihi:
Seriously though, he has kept himself very fit and still enjoys cycling. He was chuffed when I pointed this post out to him, but he is not sure who you are. Any clues would be helpful.
He served his apprenticeship at Firth Browns, as I did, and still works in engineering. He's a good bloke and a laugh to work with. He has not changed much over the years.
Any reply will be passed on to Fred and who knows he may even register and post a reply himself.

Shaun , ask him how many sick days he had off school when we were in the "seniors"
(1965-1969ish), and i bet he says only one !. he got a special mention from our head master ,Mr Smith during our last morning assembly before we left school,and does he still collect football programmes ?.

Their brother in law was a better footballer, or so he keeps telling me.

I know this is a bit delayed but this post grabbed my attention I am the eldest son of Philip Byne and obviously the nephew of Fred and Wendy! Carrie and Jack I do believe were the brother and Sister of my Grandad also called Fred!

My parents were Byrne but my dad was from Southey Green.
