Whilst enjoying a scenic bus journey into Sheffield city centre today I found myself meditating on the professional pale-pink poster ever present on the company's buses, inviting their valued customers to "phone and tell us" if they didnt get a ticket... could somebody please expand on the meaning of this?! Maybe im missing something/am not the average decent Sheffield citizen but I would have thought if you managed to sneak a free bus journey you wouldnt phone up and turn yourself in...

As long they give you a ticket then your bus fare is logged. If you don't get a ticket then there's nothing to say that you were ever on the bus so bus driver can keep your money.
