Oh poor Coco. It's quite natural for rabbits to be scared of cats because in the wild they would be dinner for the mog. If your bun doesn't understand that their hutch protects them from the cat sat outside the hutch then they are likely to get very stressed indeed.

I don't know the answer for you I'm afraid- fear is often the hardest emotion to handle and train out of animals.

Our rabbit hangs out with the local cats. They keep a respectful distance, even the big tom 2 doors down. Our feline is scared of the rabbit who will chase her out through the catflap given any opportunity. Hence the cat spends most of her time perched on all sorts of places she shouldn't. She singed her tail (again) on the gas hob yesterday. Oh the smell of singed fur.

Rabbits generally won't feel safe anywhere other than somewhere warm and dark. I have no suggestions to give you really but it is very natural for him to be afraid of cats. Mine was too until recently, and my rabbit is big and would eat the cat if there was any trouble

my bunny thumps at night usually when theres a fox or cat in the area, but he is safe, he does have a dark bit to go in but he doesn't go in there except to poo and wee

I have problems with Lexie attacking the cats, if they dare to go near her whilst she is eating or sit in her cage she will lunge at them with fearsome aggression.

This stems from the dog stealing a carrot from her once, now she dosn't trust any of them.

Thus far she has never caught one...

aww, bless him. Can't think of any suggestions really, like medusa says he isn't going to know he's safe! Does he have a bit he can hide in?
