Anybody know what's happening with Edith? Since she won Fame Academy she hasn't been seen on Radio. Yesterday Colin said she was due back today, and I've just tuned in and the Sky description says 'Colin is alone today....' is she ever coming back?

The word on the street is that she has spent most of this afternoon at Sony records in london going over a recording contract. God help us all

I can't stand her, she was rubbish (not for her efforts for charity of course) on celebrity fame academy, what i couldn't get over was the amount of sucking up that everyone did to her on that show! Are her parents something big at the BBC or something, ugh it made me sick, just like Elton john using Teri Hatcher in his latest music vid, yes im sure you have been "friends for ages" and you have "always wanted to work with her" ugh celebritys make me sick!

I liked Edith on FA, and I thought she was fantastic! I guess it's all about taste!

just quickly before the thread ends - I was listening to Colin and Edith this afternoon (yes, she WAS there! or someone who sounded very like her :) ). Leaving my lapse in taste aside, Edith SWORE she'd come back to doing what she loved best ie being on the radio, and said a couple of times she wasn't going to sing any more! :thumbsup: So who knows?

StarSparkle - I still say, bring back Mark and Lard :clap:

Yup I heard that bit too! I used to love Mark & Lard, with Moyles in the afternoon! I can't stand him on Breakfast, I listen to Geoff & Pete on Virgin!

Deffinatly, different music floats different people's boats, I'm sure she is great (if a little irritating) on the radio, i just dont think she can sing (apart from the one reggie duet!) in fact i just don't really like her, no offense to anyones tastes. x

Sigh - Mark and Lard - I do miss them. :( I know they're both still broadcasting, but it's not the same. They could always cheer me up if I was feeling a bit miserable at lunchtime, and they set the rest of the day up beautifully! I still don't know how they got away with some of the things they said!

That dry Mancunian humour - you can't beat it! :P

Oh, and the music was pretty good, too! :thumbsup:

I miss "Downcount", "Lard's Classic Cuts", the "Stop / Carry on game" and all the other stupid little things which made their show the funniest one on radio, and the awful Radio 1 playlist bearable.
