Hi,

recently moved back to rotherham and am current in need of work! I did a degree in Media (radio production) at Manchester University. Whilst my main interest is still media radio iin particular. I have other interests that i would like to persue in terms of a career. These are listed below: -

Websites/ Music Promotion,
Childcare/ Teaching assistant.

My main problem seems to be lack of experience any hints tips on finding work greatly appreciated!!

This job was a transfer from the Big W job and again involves different aspects. I work as part of a team and independently to get set tasks done. Arranging stock and replenishment are also part of this role.
2001 – 2005 – Various Temp positions
Throughout college and university I had various temporary retail positions and temp work including stockroom work and domestic work.
2000-2001 YMCA Radio Barnsley
I worked at YMCA Radio Barnsley as a volunteer answering and taking requests and dedications for there RSL

2001-2001 Galaxy 105
At college I did a work placement at Galaxy 105. It gave me a basic insight into radio and I developed basic editing skills

2002-2002 Emap Performance
At Emap I had to adapt to a fast paced environment. I worked in and team and independently. Whilst on the placement I created a database of press releases and also helped in the process of applying for radio licenses

2002-2002 Murf Media
This was the second part of my university placement. It was a more creative role, as I had to help prepare show prep that included, writing limericks and jokes and creative scripting

2004-2004 Wire FM
As part of my university work in the third year I worked as a regular features producer on Wire FM’s Academy

2005 – 2008 - Producer for the mid morning - Wire FM
I worked for Wire FM doing voluntary production for the mid morning show this included working on regular features and coming up with ideas for a quiz that runs on the show. I also recorded and produced all the audio that was used by the station for UK Music Week and The World Cup during my time at the station.

Freelance Producer - Wire FM
I have worked on a freelance basis for the station covering the local elections and several awards ceremonies that Wire Fm hold. I recorded and made strong editorial judgements on the content that should be used for the news team.
