Pretty pointless post, and I'm a Blade.

What goes around comes around.

We've ended well, but as a whole it's been a shocker (thanks to Robson, a rare but glaringly huge error of judgment on McCabe's part).

Wendy aren't out of the woods yet so in reality, pro footie in Sheffield hasn't got a lot to shout about (although it's always worth mentioning that a, we're not in League One like L*eds, and b, neither of us has Ken Bates at their club!!).

Yet another season passes when Wednesday can't finish above the Blades.

Or maybe we could stop throwing pointless jibes at each other and start worrying about how low both teams have sunk, when at one time they'd have each spent at least half the time in the top flight as a bare minimum.

That's stretching it a bit fella... We lost to Wednesday, we move on. If they are still in the Championship next season I expect us to get at least one win against them.

i make it 5 in the 16 man squad for the bramall lane game (4 started, then 1 loan signing replaced by another loanee on 68mins), hardly call that a team of loan players,

Well put:hihi: I mean its got to be harder for loan players to all fit in together, then to play darby match and come so close WELL does not say much for blades players if they been together soooo long that they cant win owls!!!:hihi:

Ill ADMIT both blades and owls Should be in the top prem division , but both teams have let fans down this season!!

But with abit of luck owls will do better next season, and im tipping THE BLADES for promotion next season:)

So when did I "jump in and claim it myself"? I merely pointed out that despite your claim that we only beat you because of loan players you were completely incorrect, as was proven by Annoni-mouse. The other night? Has no bearing on the fact that you said we only beat you because of loanees. Why can't you just admit defeat on this?

This after the other day you claimed that had you not beaten us twice in 91-92 we'd have won the league. Once again, you were bang wrong.

Perhaps you should research your "facts" before posting them, because otherwise you look rather silly when you're proven to be wrong.

the point i am making is that your loan players are keeping you in this division. without them you'd be down now. the players you do own are mainly crap. naming 6 loan players for a game is cheating and you were found out. we all believe you watered your pitch a couple of months back to get games put off whilst players became "fit". you are clinging by the nail ends to exist its about time those nails were trimmed. now prove me wrong

doesnt matter who keeps us in the league. anyway, what about the saves grant makes, tackles beevers puts in, tudgays goals. they all make a difference, no loan players scored against you lot at hillsborough. the loan players help but they dont do everything

very relevant. you lost 2-0 at hillsborough and we didnt play any loan players, you did. we get a 2-2 draw at bramall lane with 4 loan players playing, granted 1 scored 2 of the goals but i have read the match report and grant made at least 5 or 6 saves, if he was a loan player you would be saying it was relevant as we could of lost by 5 or 6

Wouldn't be saying that, the keeper is there to make saves. Whichever keeper is in whether loan player or not, he would be expected to do pretty much the same job.

The fact is both goals for yourselves was scored by a player on loan. So 1 point right there. I could give other examples....

the job of a loan player is to do the best he can for the club he plays for, that includes scoring 2 goals against that clubs biggest rivals. i'm not saying they dont help, of course they do and who klnows if we would of scored 2 without him or the player that was there instead of him would of got 2 but all you blades saying you were beat by a team of loan players is a joke. 4 loan players were on the field, that leaves another 7 that arent and that make just as much contributions.

What we are saying is the best players you had for yourselves on derby night were your loan players.

It was Bladebloke who rather stupidly said "we lost and drew to a league 11 not wendy."

This is utterly wrong as it's since been proven that the team which beat you had no loan players in the 16 (even though you had one). Yes we had a few loan players in the draw last week, but that wasn't the point.

The loan players are there to do a job. We have a thin squad that has many injuries, loan players have to be brought in.

Fair play to Wednesday the loan system is there to be used and Wednesday like may clubs have used to to it maximum.

Loan players are all well and good but not a very sound base for the future.

I'm not taking anything away from the Owls. My view is on the game that I saw your best players on the pitch were loanees. I'm not saying this is the case other nights.

Most teams from the top 4 down use the loan system and it is a good thing for all clubs involved.

I'd agree, and it is a sad state of affairs at S6 that they were.

However, we do have a LOT of injuries and as stockers says the loan system is there to be used. If we had a full strength squad and we were using loanees as our best players then I'd be annoyed.
