Car left A6 near Market Harborough earlier this morning (around 07:00) and was hit by the Midland Mainline Sheffield to London train.
Apparently nobody is hurt and the car driver is "dazed"!

Line blocked.
Trains running with diversions, buses and major delays..

Thank gods this wasn't any more serious.

After the accident at Great Heck, I thought road routes over railway lines had been made safer - obviously not safe enough! My hubby travels on the Midland Mainline to London regularly and it's worrying to know things like this are happening.

Unfortunately lower standards apply to roads.....

Apparantly the driver was speeding and flipped his van OVER the barrier on the bridge!

Reasuring to know the train remained safe in the incident though.
