I've been seeing a small, male, black, wire-haired dog knocking around the Psalter Lane, Cherry Tree Rd. area all week and wondered if he is lost or just going walkabout daily. I saw him once before a couple of months ago on the St.Andrew's Rd., Kenwood Rd. area. He'd obviously just had an op as his stitch marks were visable round the back of his neck. His fur is now fully grown back and he has a collar. Today, I found him scratching at my front door but he is very wary and I can't get near enough to grab him and check out his collar. He has no road sense and I am concerned he is going to get hit by a car. I put out a bit of food just in case he's hungry which has vanished. One of my dogs was a stray as a puppy and it breaks my heart to think this little guy could be lost. I want to reach a wide audience, so didn't post on lost and found.

It sounds as if the little dog is just taking himself out for adventures, and your quite right he will get himself killed on the road
He obviously belongs to someone as he has had an operation and wears a collar... its a pity that they obviously care less for his welfare than you

People who let dogs roam get on my t*ts the animal could be hit by a car severely injured, cause an accident that hurts a person or both.In my book it's as bad as latch key kids.

Sounds like it perhaps already has or been in a fight with it being stitched, poor dog its a adventurous, interesting but short life for some dogs

The dog vanished - I'd not seen him for a week and was wondering what had happened to him. Then this morning, looking out of my window, there he is, on a lead, with an owner walking along my road!! I'm glad he's safe but I so want to know what the story is with this dog. Unfortunately, they were out of sight really quickly and as I was in my p.j.s I didn't fancy running up the road after him.

If you know where they live or could find out you can still report to the dog warden as they will pay a visit and warn them that dogs cannot be let out to roam and the consequences.
