Hi I am new on the forum but guilty of reading loads of stuff before registering.
My Wife works at the Victoria care home in worksop and is very interested in finding out history about the history of the site!
The first building history she could find was about a cottage hospital that opened on 29th March 1900. it was staffed with a house surgeon, two honorary surgeons, a matron and three probationer nurses. there were 59 patients in the first year and the total income was £487.12 and the expenditure was £505.45.
30 years later 812 patients were treated, the income was £7326 and expenditure was £6751.
I know we are a bit out of sheffield but any help would be awesome :D.
thankyou in advance for any replies
