If there's any Tony Bennet fans around, do they remember him at the Empire. He did a tour after getting that 'Rags to Riches' song in the charts, middle 1950's. Cost about 2/6d to get in the Gods, last time I saw him, in a nightclub, it cost me the equivalent of a good Crombie overcoat! Anybody have memories of the great entertainers, now largely gone? Morcambe and Wise, Jimmy James, when Roy Castle was his stooge with Ely Woods, and Tommy Trinder, Frank Randle, and on and on.

A few years ago my brother drove him around in a limo in SF
and they would talk about Sheffield
Dont know if he is still there or alive

Yes he's still around the States. He mostly plays in Las Vegas now.

Tony Bennett gets better and better with age. He has recently performed with Sheryl Crow, Diana Krall, BB King, KD Lang, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Natalie Cole.
