hi i would be interested if anyone has any memories of Mountain Street Darnall my mum was born there her parents my grand parents are called frank and Carol white they lived with franks mother annie White nee Young. Franks brother is Jack white and his sisters were Vera,Beat,and Alice white ,Franks father died before Frank was born his name was Fred white. Beat white his daughter married Arthur shirt.

Was that Arthur Shirt of Stovin Rd? I and a lot of my cousins went to Philimore Rd School in the 40s. The Lakes and Lingards also the Knells from Greenland Rd

I used to be always on there in the 1970's before it was demolished,Graham Sanderson was my best mate,we both had motorbikes and worked at Balfour Darwins.They moved on to Manor Lane and I lost touch,pity.

my dads mate ken marshall lived on mountain street in thr 60s. his next dooor neighbour was a rag and bone man who kept his horse in the kitchen in cold weather!! my pal Stuart Pickering was in the same yard

I was born at 88 Coleford road which is quite near. My dad went to Philimor school I believe in the 30s name of John Percy Fletcher. Devotis ice cream yard was at the bottom of our street across from the corner shop.

I lived next street to Mountain St, Freeborough St. Stuart Pickering was in my class at school. Also know the Chipchases, Johnnny Allot. Johnny Drabble, the Darby's,the beresford. Tony Parker. the Sandersons

I lived on greenland rd and went to Phillimore rd until 1960. I understand that Stewart died a few years ago
