Hi Everyone,

We have just replaced our office furniture, so have 4 old desks we want to get rid of. Rather than tipping them, we'd like to give them away to someone who can use them (they're still in ok condition).

Does anyone know of any local companies that will come and collect, and then recycle furniture?

What are the desks like? Do you have pictures?

I think they collect, but you'd have to check.

They're just big old desks - no pix I'm afraid. Rang Remar, but they won't collect. Just seems a shame to trash them...

Isn't there a shop in the Wicker deals in second hand office furniture ? or try Yellow Pages for dealers...if you don't want cash for them they ought to collect for free.

We had someone from London Road to collect some old office stuff - sorry can't remember the name, but we got them from Yellow Pages. He paid a couple of quid for old filing cabs, and we gave him the desks for nowt.

You could always try advertising them on the Sheffield Freecycle group

I am sure someone out there would make use of them.

Hills office furniture surpus would probably give you money for them. Located somewhere in S4 I think, maybe that turning off the wicker at the east house(?) pub.
