Hiya
I have just had a full rewire done on my house by an NICEIC qualified electrician. Can any one confirm what paper work I need to get. I understand its a test report and that he will then contact the council and self certify for building regs purposes, is this correct? Do I then receive anything from the council?
cheers

you should get a electrical installation certificate.. with his name and niciec number on it .
also notification to building control and you will get a cert from niciec that state s the install is to regs and comply`s .
although niciec is the engineer scope a or b,
difference is scope A is full installs. scope B is only alterations to existing services.

hi
you need a niceic electrical installation cert & set of test results that state what circuits have been tested & what work has been done then you will recieve a completion certificate from building control & niceic
