We've just had a BT line connected at home and now want to set up a dial up pay-as-you-go account (we won't use it enough to warrant having broadband). What's the cheapest/most reliable one to use?

View Full Version : What's the best ISP for Dial-Up connection? Shiesh 21-03-2005, 12:47 When I was on dial up I was with supanet it was £4.99 a month for unmetered connection as on special offer (half price in New year!!) it has since gone back to £9.99. I would not recommend pay as you go accounts unless you only go online for minutes a couple of times a week !! www.supanet.com has further details!! Draggletail 21-03-2005, 12:56 We used to be on Tesco.net 'anytime' at £12.49 per month. They also do a time restricted option at £4.99 per month - access from 1200 hrs to 1600 hours I think, local call rate applies to usage outside those hours. Never had any problems getting connected. Happy to be on broadband, these days :) nomme 21-03-2005, 13:06 Do you really mean you want a 'pay-as-you-go' account? If so there are loads of free ISPs where you only pay for the phone calls you make to the server. eg http://www.uku.co.uk/ Nomme alchresearch 21-03-2005, 13:14 A couple here: IC24: http://www.ic24.net/payasyougo/default.asp UK2NET: http://adial.co.uk/ I used to use IC24 years ago for PAYG, they were pretty good. Yahoo even provide one, but don't advertise it much now: Tel: 0845 609 1351 user: yahoo pass: yahoo ZEDEX48K 23-03-2005, 13:41 I am after dial up monthly contract. currently on wanadoo, not much problems, just looking around for any better offers after being with wanadoo for 12 months. |
