Anyone tried them? WallBuilder 20-03-2005, 23:18 I agree with noseyrosie, Hedgehog flavored crisps , once tried never again. Has anyone noticed a certain brand of crisps advertised by an ex footballer seem to be almost entirely salt flavor even though they come in different color bags? eguin 20-03-2005, 23:30 Turkey and sage at xmas tasted like dried herbs! eguin 20-03-2005, 23:33 And as for the 'scampie and lemon' flavour nik naks they were sickly. Why anyone likes vinegar is beyond me. It smells and tastes revolting. RPG 21-03-2005, 00:46 Originally posted by noseyrosie Hedgehog flavour crisps from back in the day They are my all time top flavour! The worst have to be the Comic Relief "BBQ Chicken" flavour :gag: bellis 21-03-2005, 02:23 Originally posted by ANGELUS I saw some Vanilla flavoured Monster Munch a couple of months ago-- didn't try them though! Anyone tried them? i tried them and they where vile even the dog wouldnt eat any of them i had some chocalate flavour crisps in the late 80s and they where disgusting as well:gag: :gag: :gag: SHarper 21-03-2005, 06:44 Prawn cocktail crisps taste like they do 'cos its the last flavour to be produced on the production line, and is a result of all the other flavours' residue in the vat where the flavour is added. After they have done, the vat is given a jolly good clean out and they start again at plain. I have a friend that designed the "flavour putting on machine" (technical term), and will find out the order of crisp strength flavour if any-one needs it......... PopT 21-03-2005, 08:05 The worst I've come across are-'Red wine with Tuscan herbs'. I reckon the bloke who created them must have done it for a laugh. I'm still waiting for someone to make-'Rabbit Gravy flavoured crisps'. I reckon they'll be a winner. Happy Days popestar 21-03-2005, 08:52 do you not remember quarterbacks - god knows what flavour they were but they were awful. should bring back bitza pizza though now they were great lol timo 21-03-2005, 17:10 The African crisps, Roast Okapi flavour produced by the M' Bemba Krisp Co of Uganda are perfectly vile. I came upon them, quite by chance when on Safari. My native- bearers swore by them. Apparently, they are available via various outlets throughout Africa, such as the Kampala Home Stores, the Gabon Rainforest branches of Netto, and Umboto's mini-market, deep in the Congo. They are spectacularly disgusting, tasting of a mixture of raw sewage and stale ladies' underwear. One, brief taste of these crisps sent my tall, strong Ugandan bearers into a frenzy. "Okapi! M'Bemba Okapi!" they cried, as they pillaged the pygmy village with such damned politeness and British spunk. K x Sam Miguel 21-03-2005, 19:56 I once tried steak and oyster flavoured crisps back in the early eighties. Although I managed to finish the packet, I had decided I wouldn't try them again after the very first crunch. I also hate sour cream and chive crisps. Just awful. owdlad 21-03-2005, 19:56 Originally posted by timo The African crisps, Roast Okapi flavour produced by the M' Bemba Krisp Co of Uganda are perfectly vile. They are a tribe of very small people who live in very long grass and all day long they run around shouting "we're the fkawi we're the fkawi" ....ok ok I will get me coat:P beckyaa 21-03-2005, 20:02 "New Walkers Mediterranean crisps are a limited edition flavour range especially for summer and will be available in three mouth-watering flavours, Greek Kebab, Tomato & Basil and Feta Cheese" These were foul - I'm not sure if they are still available, but the roll runner at my old work used to bring them round last summer :gag: :gag: :gag: Can't stand any really manufactured tasting crisps (eg monster munch, quavers) and hate cheese and onion or any 'meat' flavoured chrisps. Actually don't really like crisps much at all. Kettle chips are ok though. richy32 21-03-2005, 22:01 Originally posted by Sam Miguel I also hate sour cream and chive crisps. Monster Munch are one of mans' greatest inventions!  K x Lickszz 21-03-2005, 22:46 Of the Walkers variety I think Prawn cocktail and Chicken are the worst. However, I do seem to enjoy the odd bag if I haven't had them for a long time. :loopy: :gag: Kristian 21-03-2005, 22:52 Originally posted by Lickszz Of the Walkers variety I think Prawn cocktail and Chicken are the worst. Always been surprised there's been no attempt at "Chicken Tikka" flavour. I'm sure Walkers still do Tomato Ketchup flavour crisps; they certainly did recently, even if they were only a limited edition! K x Don_Kiddick 22-03-2005, 00:12 I don't think they've been invented yet, but i bet WINNET FLAVOUR would not be very popular?
