Swiller 20-03-2005, 17:16 Currently my parents are managing the Springwood, and we have had many, many children's parties, which have all gone down a treat! If you need, I know the best DJ for kids parties, he's execllent and I even do balloon decorations if that's any help? But it's a £10 cleaning fee, and even if you don't want to pay this you can have the room and clean up yourself! You maybe thinking ohh the Springwood - but really Janet & Tony are great and the room is shut off from the rest of the pub! Call them - see what you think! ladyovmanor 20-03-2005, 17:21 thanks but not in to the whole pub thing DaBouncer 20-03-2005, 17:37 There is a kids play centre down at Heeley that you can rent out. It's got a full on adventure play area with slides n stuff. My neice just had her 5th birthday party there on Saturday. Costs £100 to rent it out for 2 hours (which is plenty of time). You can cater yourself by bringing your own food. Want me to get the contact details? ladyovmanor 20-03-2005, 19:15 Thank you, I was looking for something abit more local as alot of parents dont drive. Thanks Anyway :) ladyovmanor 23-03-2005, 09:18 okay so anymore ideas Voise 23-03-2005, 11:37 Megacentre on Bernard road has a large soft play area but 40 kids might be pushing it a bit and be costly. We are hiring the Church hall at St Aidan's on Manor Lane and bringing in a bouncy castle for my 4 yr olds birthday with about 20 kids. Swiller 24-03-2005, 13:05 I know you said you don't do pubs and want somewhere local but how about brewsters? Or now the weather's picking up how about a back garden of a relative/friend or your's if it's big enough? Sorry no more ideas I'm afraid. beansforyou 24-03-2005, 21:06 If it's a sunny day, how about taking them to the park? have a giant picnic? Hire a Fire Engine from the Fire Engine Museum? Hire a hall (you haven't said what area your in) and hire Andy the CLown (he's fab) Make curly sandwiches, loads of jelly and just let them get on with it? ( my favourite) I was going to make a joke about michael jacksons NeverNever land, but then thought you might not have that kind of sense of humour :D ladyovmanor 25-03-2005, 20:16 Originally posted by beansforyou If it's a sunny day, how about taking them to the park? have a giant picnic? Saint Theresa's school on Prince of Wales Road Manor hire out there hall for £12.50 an hour (or there abouts). My kids have been to several parties there. The great thing is it's up to you how much you spend on the food, most people just tell everyone to come in fancy dress, and have a CD player with some tunes the kids like and a few party games. That way you can invite as many children as you like!!:) |
