Molly doesn't pay the TV the least bit of attention, but she does get rather confused during Dog Borstal because she can hear barking but she obviously doesn't connect it with what's happening on the TV.
My first cat Tizzy used to try patting the ball if I was watching TV and Merlin used to watch nature programmes and often tried to run behind the screen to catch the birds that must have been behind there somewhere.
Birth-Peace 08-04-2008, 00:45 Petie Puddle loves TV, especially if there are dogs on it. Bailey gets very confused and will run out the room barking, trying to find them though lol.
One of my cats (passed away now) used to love watching football on the television and got into quite alot of trouble when he kept diving at the screen during the world cup. Well he was called Rupert Rooney.
we had a lab that used to love watching snooker. He kept looking behind the tele when they potted a ball
I have a dogue de bordeaux max and he loves the tv especially when anything dog related is on!! He will go and look behind the tv to find the doggies!! Crufts coverage sent him loopy!! If there are no dogs on the tv he will lay for ages and just watch what ever is on:hihi:

Maisey's exactly the same.
kelibobs 08-04-2008, 11:29 mine love watching TV, they love alsorts but really love animal programmes.
wondertec 08-04-2008, 12:19 One of my cats loves watching tv, esp football n snooker! She gets right up close, then on the hind legs and paws the screen to try n get the ball! Nutter.Only thing is, she then blocks the sensor n i can't change channels while the Oh isn't looking...
My Labradoodle Barney is turning into a petrolhead! He laid on the settee and watched parts of the Grand Prix on Sunday. Admittedly he dozed off occasionally but that could have been something to do with Hamilton not being in the top three!
Matchstick 09-04-2008, 12:14 Guinness loves to watch TV, his faveourite program is Animal Park.
My brothers dog will jump at the tv and try and bite it if there's an animal program on.
My old cat used to watch snooker, she'd sit on top of the tv, hanging over the front and chase the balls around the table.
DiamondGirl 09-04-2008, 17:45 I read somewhere that dogs and cats can only really see 'green' as the main colour. So thats why when things like football, horse racing, snooker etc...are on tv your pets will be more drawn to it :)
My dogs have never shown any interest at all. Infact, Jenny looks in every direction but at the tv. She prefers to be on patrol out of the window! Not even dogs barking on programmes gets any reaction.
pet-walkiz 09-04-2008, 18:08 but!! my big doggy also watches "C.S.I" almost all the way thru!!
Ailsa sits watching the dog behaviour programmes and then glances over to me as ifto say 'I'm not naughty like those doggies, am I mum?' Yeah, right...
Amber our Maine Coon is also a big dog-programme fan. She loves Crufts but her favorite is Dog Borstal http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u30/katkin2/IMGP0777.jpg
He likes dog borstal on bbc 3
I keep telling him, carry on mate and that's where your going to end up but he takes no notice
MARY POPPINS 09-04-2008, 21:15 Barney is a nightmare with any programme that has an animal on it,
he just barks non stop
my staffy not only watched the Grand National he also backed the winner
Our labrador likes watching football. You see her head moving side to side as the ball goes up and down the pitch. She also likes dog rescue and paces between us and the tv when the dogs are barking on it.
